This interactive exhibit for children and adults will be open on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Unveil the identities of this small band of Long Island patriots and discover how they operated in secret, gathering information about the British troops that occupied Long Island and Manhattan, and delivered that information to General George Washington. Children can use quill pens to compose their own secret messages with the same codes the spies used, as well as take on the identity of one of the spies using custom computer software.
Admission : $5/adults and $3/children and TVHS members.
The exhibit: SPIES! How a Group of Long Island Patriots Helped George Washington Win the Revolution is made possible by a matching grant from the New York Council for the Humanities and community support.
