January 23rd, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.: Monthly Lecture Series& Member Meeting: Emma S. Clark Memorial Library's Community Room, 120 Main St., Setauket, NY. The evening will begin with a slideshow of photos from the 2011 Candlelight House Tour: Around the Bay. We will also hold our annual elections. Click here to view the slate of nominees. Nominations may be submittedto the Three Vilalge Historical Society with the signatures of 5 members. This month's lecture will be "Life Along the Shores of the Three Villages: Subsistence to Enterprise to Leisure," presented by TVHS Achivist Karen Martin and TVHS Co-Vice President Frank Turano. April 14th, 10:30 a.m.: Walking Tour: Walk Through History with Farmer and Spy Abraham Woodhull. In this living history walk you will meet farmer and Revolutionary War Spy Chief Abraham Woodhull, portrayed by historian Beverly Tyler, who leads tour-goers on a walk through the nature sanctuary that was once Woodhull's farm. Tour-goers are introduced to the woods, fields, ponds and bays that tell the story of Long Islands colonization and settlement preceding the Revolution and the creation of the new nation. Location: Caroline Church parking lot at the Carriage Shed along Dyke Road at the Setauket Village Green. Donation: $5.00 per person/$3 per person for TVHS Members.

April 15th, 1:00 p.m.: Walking Tour: Down the Ways, The Wooden Ship Era. Walk where the sailing ships were built. Learn about shipbuilders, ship captains, and families prominent in Setauket’s Maritime history, and discover how the shipbuilding industry influenced the development of roads and homes on Dyers Neck. This tour is conducted at low tide so the bones of the schooners will be uncovered in Scott's Cove. The tour leaves from the Setauket Dock, Shore Road, East Setauket. Fee: $3 for TVHS members, $5 for non-members.

Visit the cemetery where the leader of the Setauket Spy Ring is buried, near the resting place of the artist William Sydney Mount. See the 17th and 18th century homes of early residents of Suffolk County and the 19th century homes of sea captains. This walking tour leaves from the Setauket Neighborhood House, 95 Main Street, Setauket, NY, across from the Mill Pond. The tour generally lasts one hour and fifteen minutes. (Note: Please arrive 5 minutes prior to start time listed to ensure a prompt start. No pre-registration required.) Fee: $3 for TVHS members, $5 for non-members.

September: Gallery North Outdoor Art Show. Three Village Historical Society's exhibits and gift shop will be open to the public during Art Show hours.

September: Long Island Apple Festival. Dates & Times to be announced. Sherwood-Jayne House. Cosponsored with SPLIA and Homestead Arts. Join us as we celebrate Long Island's colonial heritage with fun family activities, a traditional apple pie baking contest, colonial hearth cooking demonstrations, and much, much more. November 30th & December 1st: 34th Annual Candlelight House Tour. For 34 years, the Three Village Historical Society has presented its Candlelight House Tour, a spectacular showcase of select local homes decked out in dazzling holiday finery by talented local decorators. For 34 years, the Three Village Historical Society has presented its Candlelight House Tour, a spectacular showcase of select local homes decked out in dazzling holiday finery by talented local decorators. The 2012 Candlelight House Tour will take place on Friday night, November 30th, and Saturday, December 1st.

All tickets to TVHS sponsored events are non-refundable.
